Internships

As a student pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Affairs at UTD, I had the privilege to intern at AIIR. It was such a great experience and an eye-opener for me!

I had first-hand experience and exposure to dealing with individuals who want to improve the lives of people who need it the most through the work of a nonprofit organization. 

Their professionalism, values, and healthy environment are the foundation of their work. To display such selflessness anchored and confirmed that it is the career I want to pursue.

My internship through AIIR helped me learn professional skills related to conducting research that are essential to make an ideal member of the labor force but are rarely taught in traditional classes.

I was able to get hands on experience in situations, having to report to report to my supervisor when significant steps of the projects that I was part of were accomplished.

My supervisor from AIIR was also instrumental in guiding me through the steps that insured a successful internship teaching me methods that are frequently used in the field that I aspire to be in.

Priceless! I hoped to get exposure to the nonprofit sector and this AIIR internship exceeded my expectations.

I got to delve into the ins and outs of nonprofit fundraising and received much insight and guidance on the redaction of research papers. Something truly unique to AIIR was the organization's dependable supervision of my performances. They knew that I had much to learn and were never ones to make me question my abilities; instead, they set high standards and helped me meet their expectation at every step of the way.

I know this experience will have a lasting positive impact on me and my career.
